The console licence leads again. The GT DD Pro is the only officially PlayStation-licensed direct drive base; the Sport 9 is a cheaper PC-only entry with slightly more torque (9 Nm versus 8) and the route onto Simagic's 21-bit encoder.
So PlayStation racers take the GT DD Pro, no question. On PC, the Sport 9 saves $200 and edges the torque, making it the better value entry. There is no real contest on either platform once you know where you play.
